Alexei Krivoruchko, CEO of Aeroexpress, comments on this new development: “This year has been a period of rapid development for our company. And the deployment of MasterCard PayPass in the automated ticket sales system marks a truly significant step in this process. Now it is even easier to purchase Aeroexpress tickets.”When buying a ticket, the passenger needs to select a fare and choose the bank card payment option, then touch the card onto a reader marked with the PayPass logo, and enter the PIN code. A ticket will be issued after a payment completion signal. When purchasing tickets from ticket offices, passengers can make PayPass payments under RUB 1,000 (EUR 24) without entering the PIN code. Transaction services are provided by Petrocommerce Bank.
Alfa Bank, Moscow Industrial Bank, Petrocommerce Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, Russian Standard Bank, and Citibank are currently issuing PayPass cards. For more details on the MasterCard contactless technology, please visit the following website: www.paypass.ru
Ilya Riaby, MasterCard’s Head in Russia: “The MasterCard PayPass contactless payment technology provides new benefits both to cardholders, and commercial organisations deploying the innovation, making the payment process faster and more convenient. This technology has already been successfully introduced in many countries, and we are currently working on issuing more cards with the MasterCard PayPass contactless technology in Russia. We are delighted that tickets for Aeroexpress – which provides services popular among both Russian travellers and visitors to the country – can now be purchased with one touch of MasterCard, using PayPass technology.”
Aeroexpress has also announced that during 2012 it will be changing its corporate visual identity, including the look of the trains, terminals and employee uniforms.“Aeroexpress is directly associated with aviation and airports. That is why our creative team decided to focus on this subject”, said Svetlana Petrova, Managing Director of Indeed Brand, the winner of the tender for the development of the new corporate identity. The new logo comprises of five aeroplanes flying in different directions and forming the shape of a star. The planes pinpoint the branded red trains as the starting point for any journey, and the star is a symbol of Moscow, the airports of which are served by Aeroexpress trains. The only thing to remain unchanged in the new corporate identity is the colour red, representing the company’s dynamism, leading position, and commitment to achieving its goals.
“The coming year will represent a new stage in the development of our brand”, explained Alexey Krivoruchko, Chief Executive Officer of Aeroexpress. “It will involve expansion to the regional market of intermodal transportation services, improvement of rolling stock by installing air conditioning systems in all trains by the beginning of summer, and a complete corporate rebranding. After six years of existence, Aeroexpress has truly distinguished itself. Not every brand manages to reach that stage, even the most popular ones.”
