According to the Agency, a special state enterprise Directorate for Construction and Management of Air Express National Project was created.

It is expected that trains between the airport and Kiev would start operating by the end of 2012.

The trip would take 41 minutes.

The length of the route will be 37.4 kilometres with two stops.

It is expected that the construction 16 km of railway will cost UAH 532.215 million (USD 66.82 m), construction of 3.5 km railway flyover will cost UAH 1,581.576 million (USD 198.59 m) and the construction of the 10,600 square meters terminal at the Kyiv-Passenger station will cost UAH 192.449 million (USD 24.16 m).

The acquisition of four five-car electric trains will cost UAH 229.170 million (USD 28.77 m).

The total estimated cost is UAH 2,978.508 million (USD 373.99 m).

Local press earlier reported that the Cabinet of Ministers provided the Boryspil International Airport with state funds of USD 372.314 million to implement the project.
