AREXAfter a construction period spanning almost 10 years, a 58 kilometer express train line linking South Korea’s Incheon International Airport to downtown Seoul has opened on 29 December 2010. The line is an extension of an existing link between Incheon airport and Gimpo International Airport.

Two services are available. A high-speed service stopping only at Incheon and Seoul will take 43 minutes and cost around $11 per trip, but departs only every half-hour.

A slightly slower train departs every six minutes and stops at all ten stations along the line, with a cost of just $3 one-way and 10 minutes longer journey.

A luggage terminal also opened in Seoul Station, allowing passengers to check-in and drop off luggage to be transported to the airport (currently limited to Korean Air and Asiana Airlines).
