Design work of the Vladivostok Airport Rail Link completed
The realisation of the project started in early 2010 and includes upgrading the existing track to accommodate high speed trains and construction of new railway stations along the 70 km route as well as intermodal terminals in Vladivostok and the airport.
Vladivostok is hosting the 24th Summit of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum and this project is part of the bigger scheme to improve city’s public transport infrastructure.
Once completed the air-rail service will take 47 minutes to reach the airport, compared to 1-1.5 h by car, from the city centre as well as the in-town check-in at Vladivostok railway terminal.
