Aeroexpress

Aeroexpress is a dedicated operator offering passenger rail services between the main Moscow’s airports – Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo – and Moscow’s central railway stations.

LLC Aeroexpress was founded in 2005 to solve the important challenge of building a contemporary transport infrastructure in the metropolis and to unclog the main traffic arteries in Russian Capital City.

Together with OJSC Russian Railways and its branches, including Moscow Railway, the Directorate of Railway Stations, the Airports and other partners, the company implemented a set of operations to construct and upgrade the necessary railway infrastructure, to erect the terminal facilities and to equip them with all the necessary equipment enabling passenger service. Under the company's special order, contemporary AERO-series trains were produced by Demikhov Machine Building Plant.

LLC Aeroexpress started operating passenger trains on the lines:
  • Belorussky Railway Station – Sheremetyevo Airport – in August 2009;
  • Paveletsky Railway Station – Domodedovo Airport – in July 2008;
  • Savyolovsky Railway Station – Sheremetyevo Airport – in July 2008;
  • Kievsky Railway Station – Vnukovo Airport – in May 2008;
  • Savyolovsky Railway Station – Lobnya Station – in April 2008.
“Aeroexpress is a rapidly developing company with a huge growth potential. In the first quarter of 2010, Aeroexpress carried 1 million 865 thousand people, 73% more than compared to previous year. The share of the total passenger traffic between Moscow and the airports increased to 19.3% (a 4.5% growth).

I am sure that the experience we have accumulated will not only enable us to successfully move ahead along the selected path, but also will help us enter the regional markets of intermodal transportation services within large-scale national projects, such as the winter Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi. Our goal is to build a world-class transportation company offering the highest quality services and to improve the social implications of the railway transport in Russia”, said LLC Aeroexpress’ General Director Alexey Krivoruchko.
