The first 14 miles of the line opened in July, but Sea-Tac passengers had to take a shuttle bus between the Tukwila station and the airport. Now, when the new airport station is open, the journey between downtown Seattle and the airport will take 36 minutes. The SeaTac/Airport Station is connected to the fourth floor of the airport's main parking garage. A covered, level walkway separated from the main parking area will lead passengers to the main terminal. Station amenities include boarding pass kiosks, and in the near future, a flight time information display.

The Link light rail service runs from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Monday through Saturday and 6 a.m to midnight on Sundays. Trains arrive and depart every 7 1/2 to 15 minutes, depending on the time of day.
