From 2010 the Malpensa Express will run faster

| Representative of the Department, Raffaele Cattaneo, visited the Alstom’s Savigliano plant to confirm that the production of the trains is going according to the schedule. “I wanted to see where we stand and I can confirm now that the first two trains will be transferred for further development and testing to Novate Milanese municipality in December. All six trains will be delivered by May and then gradually put into operation, according to the time schedule that was approved by the national agency for rail safety”, said Cattaneo. |

With the new trains the journey from the airport to the city with Malpensa Express will be reduced from 40 minutes to less than 30 minutes.
