Expanded KLIA Transit service to the LCCT

Launching the new service, The Deputy Minister of Transport, Datuk Abdul Rahim Bin Bakri, said: “I have no doubt that the KLIA Transit service will have a positive impact on LCCT and would therefore call on all the budget carriers operating in LCCT, namely Air Asia, Tiger Airways and Cebu Pacific, to promote this service to your passengers as part of the Ministry of Transport’s initiative to use public transportation”. |

In conjunction with the launch, ERL is giving away 5000 free tickets for the new service. Passengers can log-on to ERL’s website www.KLIAekspres.com and register for a free ticket.
KLIA Ekspres is also planning to build a line extention to the new LCCT that will be located 2 km away from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The new rail track should be build by 2011. Once in operation, the extended ERL rail services to the new LCCT will boost passenger traffic by some 15% to 4.2 million, said CEO of ERL Noormah Mohd Noor.
