The Phase I of the A’REX line was opened in March 2007, directly connecting Incheon International Airport and Gimpo Airport. “Once the Phase II line is opened, A’REX will provide the fastest transportation from the central Seoul to Incheon International Airport. There will be 10 stations on the line with two types of service – Express and Commuter. Express trains stos only at three stations while Commuter trains stop at all ten stations”, Assistant Manager of Airport Railroad Co. Ltd. Kim Jeong-Hwan said to airrail NEWS.

Currently the journey from one airport to the other takes 33 minutes and after completion of the Phase II, the journey from downtown Seoul to Incheon International Airport will take 45 minutes.
