“While light rail is currently not envisaged by the State Government to service Adelaide Airport, allowance has been made for this future possibility consistent with recommendations made in the City of West Torrens “Transportation for the Generation 2025 Report,” says the Master Plan.

Adelaide Airport is located on the eastern shores of the Gulf of St Vincent, some 6 km west of the CBD of the City of Adelaide. It is the major gateway to the State of South Australia and the south central region of Australia for passengers and freight. The Draft Master Plan predicts 13 million passengers by 2029.
