| ”The service will start on 30th August, but the official opening will be held in Drammen on 2nd September. It’s a 10 km longer run than we have now. Drammen will be served by three airport express trains every hour,” Commercial Director of Flytoget Sverre Høven said to airrail NEWS. Flytoget is now operating two services – one direct service between Oslo city and the airport and one suburban service calling at nine stations mainly on the Westside of the Norway Capital. According to Høven, Flytoget is also increasing number of seats more than 40% this year. |

“We are in the process of introducing new trains to our fleet. We signed 65 million euro contract with Bombardier to deliver new carriages, so all 16 Flytoget train sets would be formed with four carriages. Also later this year we will present new ticketing system that we developed with Matra and ACS,” said Høven.
