Work on Edinburgh Trams to start in two months

TIE, the city council's tram firm, said rails would be laid down the centre of the street from early June, following preparation work that got under way last month, The Scotsman announced. The rails, overhead power lines and a tram stop between Castle Street and Frederick Street are due to be completed by November.
Trams are expected to operate on the £512 million line between Edinburgh Airport and Newhaven from July 2011.
